Summer ESL Opportunities | Fall Semester ESL & GED Classes

We are sorry, but there will be no Summer ESL classes offered by Ann Arbor Public Schools Adult Education this year.

Registration for Fall Semester ESL & GED Classes

Ann Arbor Public Schools Adult Education program will begin enrollment for Fall Semester ESL (English As A Second Language) and GED Preparation classes in August.
- All classes are free, but students must be 18 years old or older (by September 1st) in order to enroll.
- You DO NOT have to live in the Ann Arbor School district to be an AAPS Adult Education student.
For ESL . . .
You must have a passport with a visa (but not an F1 or tourist visa) OR a social security card OR a green card. Come to Room 206 at Stone School on August 22nd, 23rd OR 24th between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to make an appointment for the registration and assessment process.
Space is limited and enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Classes start Friday, September 9th. Sorry - no night classes.
For GED PREPARATION . . .
All you need to register is a driver’s license (or state ID) and two hours. Enrollment for fall semester starts on August 15th and is ongoing, every Monday (that school is open), from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Stone School (Room 206). Please arrive on time and be prepared to stay for the full two hours for registration and assessment. Daytime and evening classes are available.
